MY STORY

XANDER WHITAKER

THE CREATOR BEHIND XILVERWORKS

“Chaos for the ones in control.”

THE XILVER LORE

I was born in August 2002 in Los Angeles, California, to Nicole and James Whitaker, with an older brother, Miles. I grew up like a classic California kid, baseball, skateboarding, long days in the sun. I lived for the game. Boarding school in Santa Barbara was supposed to be the next step toward that dream. One day at practice my growth plate split in half. Overnight, everything I had built my identity on disappeared. I spiraled fast. Depression, anger, bouncing between three high schools and getting into trouble. From the outside I looked like a lost cause, but inside I was watching everything and trying to figure out where I actually fit. Around the same time I became obsessed with SoundCloud rap and the culture around it. All these rappers were wearing heavy, iced-out chains, and I remember telling my friends, "I want to be the guy who makes those." I signed up for a community college jewelry class while I was still in high school. The first time I touched metal and fire, something clicked. That was the moment everything started to shift.

CRAFT & PURPOSE

Jewelry quickly became a place of solace for me. At first I thought it was just something cool and flashy, but it turned into a tangible way to pour my anxiety into something beautiful. I would go to school and then drive straight to PCC, working at the bench until late at night three days a week. For the first time in my life I felt free, taking matters into my own hands instead of waiting for someone else to save me. That was when I realized jewelry wasn’t a hobby, it was my path.

EDUCATION & EVOLUTION

I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Jewelry Design. My thesis collection, "The Rabbit Hole," was featured in Vogue Runway and presented to CFDA guests, marking the first public chapter of my universe.

VISION

XilverWorks isn’t just about jewelry; it’s about emotion. Every piece is a fragment of chaos forged into control, carrying the tension between softness and aggression. The brand merges street culture with refined craft, creating brutalist artifacts for a new generation that wears their stories on the outside.
CONTROLLED CHAOS
CURATED EMOTION
TIMELESS REBELLION

THE FUTURE

My goal with XilverWorks is to build a collaborative universe where artists from different disciplines can collide, share knowledge, and push each other’s work further. One person can only do so much alone; the real magic happens when individuals bring their skills to the same table and create something none of us could have made on our own.

“make what makes you happy.”
